What/Why?

Bala Darshana is a Speech Contest for children which gives an opportunity to learn about one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

The purpose of this contest is to establish continuity on the topics featured in the Darshana Posters. The topics range from yoga and divinity to mathematics and administration demonstrating how Hindu knowledge has manifested in all aspects of human endeavor.

This contest is aimed towards strengthening the Bala Vishay by increasing the awareness on Hindu thinking, contributions and common practices.  This will also inspire children to further research into the rich culture that has found its home globally.

Format & Timeline

w Ages: Kids aged 12 and below

w  Levels: Local (Shaka) / City (Vibhag)

w Dates: April – October 2023

• Pre-requisite – Children must be registered to participate in the different levels of this contest
• Level 1 – April through September – Preparatory Sessions (Pre-contest)
• Level 2 –  September through October  – Final Contest
• Prize Distribution – Vijayadasami Utsav
